BobCast! An interview with Bob Byrne

August 26, 2008

This week we talk to the mack-daddy of Irish comics, Mr. Amperduke himself – Bob Byrne. Byrne is the creator of MBLEH!, free comic The Shiznit, Twisted Tales in 2000AD and of course his opus – the 160 page silent graphic novel – Mr. Amperduke. This is easily one of the best podcasts we’ve done, not least because we were all drunk as squirrels. Enjoy.

(P.S. Sorry for the delay)

August 4, 2008

Just when you thought you’d escaped all the “Isn’t Heath Ledger awesome?” conversations, we go and put together our BATMAN EXTRAVAGANZA! It’s not all Heath Ledger is awesome though (but he was, wasn’t he?), on this weeks show we talk about the Dublin zine Baby Beef, the works of Japanese author Yoshihiro Tatsumi, Optic Nerve creator Adrian Tomine and the tragicomic musical Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog. We also wax lyrical about The Dark Knight film, Alan Moore’s The Killing Joke, Ed Brubaker’s The Man who Laughs and Batman Gotham Knight. Oh and we talk about how awesome Heath Ledger was.
